It is a PC-connected contactless smart card reader based on 13.56MHz contactless (RFID) technology and follows the ISO/IEC 18092 Near Field Communication (NFC) standard, supporting not only Mifare ISO 14443 A and B cards, but also NFC and FeliCa contactless technologies.
It is also a CCID-compliant USB plug-and-play device. By utilizing up to 424 Kbps NFC tag access and up to 12 Mbps full USB speed, it allows for faster and more efficient reading and writing. The proximity operating distance is up to 5 cm, depending on the type of contactless tag used. Upon request, the operating distance can be extended by adding an RF transmitter, making it suitable for logistics and supply chain management.
